On October 16, a new provincial base for communication between both sides of Taiwan strait is settled in Wuchang Shouyi University(WSU) inHubei. The official ceremony began at 10:30 a.m. Chiang Pin-kung (the former president of KMT and SEFS, current chairman of Third Wednesday Club and HIWTO), Gao Wencheng (the vice secretary of HIWTO), Chen Yunlin (the former director of Taiwan Affairs Office), Li Peigen (Academician), Xu Yuanhong (the vice director of Hubei Taiwan Affairs Office), Chen Mingquan,(the director of Wuhan Taiwan Affairs Office), Chen Yao(the former director of Jiangsu Taiwan Affairs Office), Jin Guohua (the director-general of WSU), Feng Xiangdong (Secretary of Communist Party Committee of WSU), Zou Xinlu(Vice Secretary), Zhou Jin(Principal of WSU), Li Guilan(Vice Principal of WSU), Guo Jingzhi(Vice Principal of WSU) and Jin Guojie (Vice Principal of WSU) attended the ceremony. Nearly a thousand teachers and students witnessed this event.

Xu Yuanhong, the vice director of Hubei Taiwan Affairs Office, read the document “Approval of the Establishment of New Base for Communication Between both Sides of the Taiwan Strait in Wuchang Shouyi University, Hubei Province" . Director Liu Kaichun awardedWuchangShouyiUniversitywith the plaque. Director-General Jin Guohua accepted the plaque on behalf of the university, and Chiang Pin-kung, Chen Yunlin were also present.

At the ceremony, Director-General Jin Guohua employed Chiang Pin-kung,  Chen Yunlin as the honorary chairman of the college and Li Peigen as the executive director and director of the Experts Committee.

Guo Jingzhi, Vice Principal of WSUfrom Taiwan, expressed his warm welcome to the friends coming from afar and he wished good success of the new base. It was the one-month experience inWuhanthat made him well-adjusted to the environment of the university and the society of mainlandChina. To offer more useful experience forWuchangShouyiUniversityand help it work more efficiently in the construction of specialized scientific research, academic building, school-enterprise cooperation, vocational education transformation, students’ innovation and entrepreneurship, he was committed to introducingTaiwan's high-quality vocational education ideas and methods to WSU. As education is the base of communication, only if both sides learn from each other can we implement the mass entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as Three Stricts and Three Steadies that advocated by President Xi. We could achieve the great rejuvenation of our nation in this way.

Principal Zhou Jinsaid, the settlement of the new base inWuchangShouyiUniversityis an affirmation of the efforts made by WSU(WuchangShouyiUniversity) from both state and provincial Taiwan Affairs Office. The university will keep on exploring a new educational model, and will try to develop new forms of cross-strait exchanges and cooperation.  

Director-General Jin Guohua gave the speech of thanks. He thanked leaders at all levels who had always been concerned with and supportive of the development of WSU. The new base in WSU will surely play a positive role promoting cross-strait communication and cooperation. He held a firm belief that the future of WSU would be brilliant.”

The honorary director Chiang Pin-kung gave his sincere congratulations. He hoped in the future both sides of Taiwan Strait would exchange with hands and hearts to achieve the great rejuvenation ofChina.
